Thermal Resolution of Unblocking Temperatures (TROUT): A Method for “Unmixing” Multi‐Component Magnetizations

چکیده
Some rocks contain multiple remanence “components,” each of which preserves a record different magnetic field. The temperature ranges over these components unblock can overlap, making it difficult to determine their directions. We present data analysis tool called Thermal Resolution Of Unblocking Temperatures (TROUT) that treats the process thermal demagnetization as function (or alternating field coercivity). TROUT models unblocking temperature/coercivity distributions in experiment, allowing overlap. be used find temperatures/coercivities paleomagnetic directions change and when two directional overlap resulting curved trajectories. When applied specimens given multi-component Thermoremanent Magnetizations (TRMs) laboratory, method estimates at partial TRMs were acquired within one step, even for with significant has numerous applications: knowing direction changes is useful experiments history specimen interest (e.g., emplacement pyroclastic deposits, re-heating archaeological artifacts, reconstruction cooling rates igneous bodies). ability whether single component or are demagnetizing choosing appropriate temperatures use paleodirection/intensity experiments. Finally, width range may inferring composition, grain size domain state mineral assemblages.

A Neural Network Method of Selective Endmember for Pixel Unmixing
Remote sensing images contain a lot of mixed image pixels, but it is difficult to classify these pixels. If the number of pixel’s end-member is regarded as unchangeable, the traditional pixel unmixing algorithm cannot get a good result. In this paper we develop a new method of selective end-members for pixel unmixing based on the fuzzy ARTMAP neural network, which firstly compares the pixel’s s...
متن کاملStructured Sparse Method for Hyperspectral Unmixing
Hyperspectral Unmixing (HU) has received increasing attention in the past decades due to its ability of unveiling information latent in hyperspectral data. Unfortunately, most existing methods fail to take advantage of the spatial information in data. To overcome this limitation, we propose a Structured Sparse regularized Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (SS-NMF) method from the following two a...
متن کاملDevelopment of a High-Resolution Melting Method for Screening R188H Polymorphism in XRCC2 Gene
Background: The High Resolution Melting (HRM) method is a new scanning method for detecting unknown changes in DNA and its advantages have persuaded researchers to recruit it as a screening method. Objectives: Here, we developed a HRM method to screen R188H SNP (rs3218536) of XRCC2 and compared the results with a well known PCR-RFLP technique. Materials and Methods: Genomic ...
متن کاملHyperspectral Super-Resolution with Spectral Unmixing Constraints
Hyperspectral sensors capture a portion of the visible and near-infrared spectrum with many narrow spectral bands. This makes it possible to better discriminate objects based on their reflectance spectra and to derive more detailed object properties. For technical reasons, the high spectral resolution comes at the cost of lower spatial resolution. To mitigate that problem, one may combine such ...
